Ability to listen and understand speech, including understanding sentences, following directions, understanding a story, or understanding basic concepts.    

Pragmatic Language

Social communication skills used in daily interactions including what we say, how we say it, and the ability to judge what is expected in social interactions. Children with autism often struggle with this area of language.
